The Arpentix mobile application and website are published by Benjamin Drouilly, a natural person, residing in Lèves (28300), France.

Arpentix allows you to discover places of historical interest around you, to listen to them, and to keep a record of them in a personal logbook. It relies on public databases.

The service is entirely free of charge.

The application requires an iPhone running iOS 16 or later, an internet connection and location services enabled for its main functions. The website is accessible from any modern browser.

Arpentix is intended for people aged 15 or over, the age of digital consent in France. Below that age, a parent's agreement is required.

The application works without an account. Creating an account is optional and serves to back up your logbook.

Account creation is done through Apple or Google. You are responsible for the security of access to those third-party accounts. You can delete your Arpentix account at any time from the application settings.

You may choose to make your logbook accessible through a link. This feature is optional and disabled by default.

You are responsible for what you publish and for the circulation of that link. It is hard to guess, but it is not password-protected: anyone who holds it can view the page.

You may revoke sharing at any time; the link then stops working. The Publisher can, however, do nothing about content that may already have been copied by a third party.

The Publisher reserves the right to disable a public logbook in the event of manifestly abusive or unlawful use.

The content displayed comes from public databases:

• Wikidata — data under the CC0 licence
• Mérimée database — French Ministry of Culture
• OpenStreetMap — data under the ODbL licence, © OpenStreetMap contributors

Arpentix is affiliated neither with the Wikimedia Foundation, nor with the Ministry of Culture, nor with the OpenStreetMap Foundation. The Publisher does not guarantee the accuracy of the information from those sources.

Distances and route suggestions are provided for guidance only. Stay aware of your surroundings as you travel. The Publisher declines all liability in the event of an accident occurring while following a suggestion from the application.

The name Arpentix, its logo, its design and its source code are the property of the Publisher. Content from public databases remains subject to its respective licences.

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability or of freedom from error. The Publisher cannot be held liable for errors present in the source data, for an interruption of the service, or for the loss of data following the uninstallation of the application.

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

These terms may be amended to accompany the development of the service. The date below indicates their latest revision.

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
